Management Team
EOS International’s management team has decades of experience in the software, library and other industries.

Scot Cheatham—Founder, Owner, President & CEO
Scot Cheatham co-founded EOS International (formerly known as Data Trek) with his brother David in 1982. During that first year, the company developed the first library automation and information management software available for microcomputers.
For three decades, under Cheatham’s ownership, EOS has led the library automation and knowledge management industry by delivering market-leading innovative software solutions to its clients. Under Cheatham’s guidance, EOS has delivered many industry firsts, including: multiuser applications for microcomputer networks, software using a graphical user interface, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application for libraries and information centers, software using fully web-based .NET technology, and company-owned data centers for hosted applications.
Cheatham has served as a board member for San Diego Regional Economic Task Force, Medinet LLC, Eltec, a division of Dawson Holdings, Physician.com, and Elevation Snowboards. He has also served as an elected official on the Governing Board of Trustees for the Rancho Santa Fe School District.
Prior to founding EOS International, Cheatham worked in the financial services industry with Thomson McKinnon in San Francisco. He holds a BA in Economics from Principia College.

Jeff Goodwin—Vice President of Product Development
Jeff Goodwin is the Vice President of Product Development at EOS International. Goodwin leads the company’s worldwide product development efforts, delivering innovative products using agile client focused development practices. Goodwin guides corporate technical strategy and has established two data centers, providing clients with seamless cloud computing and on-premise delivery of library automation and knowledge management solutions.
Goodwin has served EOS International in its product development department for nearly two decades. He first joined the company as a developer in 1991, and then rose steadily through the organization to become Product Manager in 1999. In 2001, he was promoted to Director of Research & Development, before his most recent appointment to Vice President of Product Development in 2009. Goodwin has contributed substantially to the growth of the company through the development of the EOS.Web, Q-Series, GLAS, and Manager Series product lines.
Goodwin graduated with honors from Drew University and holds a BA in Computer Science.
Greg Leiser—Vice President of Finance
Greg Leiser is Vice President of Finance at EOS International. He is responsible for strategic planning, finance, accounting and human resources.
Leiser brings over twenty years of senior management experience to EOS International, spending the last fourteen years in the industrial automation systems industry with Amistar Corporation. While serving as a principal with Tatum LLC, an executive services firm, he worked with EOS International on a variety of strategic consulting projects in the recent months prior to joining the company.
Leiser earned his degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from California State University –Bakersfield and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).

Salvatore Provenza—Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing
Salvatore Provenza is Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing at EOS International. In his many years with EOS, he has helped drive the company’s international growth, while strengthening the U.S. library automation and knowledge management sales and marketing programs. Provenza is responsible for the formulation of the company’s sales strategy and for the management of emerging business opportunities.
Provenza brings over twenty years of extensive sales and marketing management experience. Prior to his years with EOS, he worked for Microsoft as Regional Director of Africa, India, and the Middle East. He was Director of Global Sales and Marketing for AT&T Corporation, Managing Director of Caribbean Operations for NCR Corporation, Director of Global Sales and Marketing for Galileo International, and most recently, Vice President and General Manager for CAIS Internet’s software subsidiary, CAIS Software Solutions.
Provenza graduated with honors from Wright State University and completed his graduate program in international management from the University of California, Berkeley.

Jeff Smith—Vice President of Client Services
Jeff Smith is Vice President of Client Services at EOS International. He has over twenty years of experience in the library automation and knowledge management field and over ten years of experience in managing client services for international organizations.
Smith has spent twenty years with EOS International, formally Data Trek, Inc., beginning his career in product development positions before promoting to Director of Client Services. In 2009, Smith was appointed Vice President of Client Services, where his responsibilities include implementation of the EOS.Web products, training services, and running the international call center operations.
In 2005, Smith left EOS International and worked for California Instruments, now Ametek – a two-billion dollar enterprise. He managed their customer services and commercial operations departments until 2009.
Smith holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and Information Systems from San Diego State University.
