From time to time we hear about interesting stories regarding how some of our clients have implemented EOS solutions, including the associated value that our solutions have brought to the libraries. As such, we have taken the time to publish these stories in order to help special librarians see what more they can do to improve access to information and help their library become a profit center.

Santee Cooper
The Santee Cooper Corporate Library is the primary library for the South Carolina Public Service Authority, a public utility doing business as Santee Cooper. The Corporate Library helps Santee Cooper achieve its mission on a daily basis by providing Web-based access to resources to 1,700 employees via the EOS.Web OPAC.

Gemological Institute of America
Located at the Gemological Institute of America's world headquarters at the Robert Mouawad Campus in Carlsbad, CA, the Richard T. Liddicoat Gemological Library and Information Center is the world's largest, most up-to-date source of gemological information on diamonds, colored stones, jewelry arts and jewelry business. The Library serves as the gem and jewelry industry's most authoritative resource and is recognized as the first point of reference - and the final word - for industry professionals around the world.

W.E. Upjohn Institute
The W.E. Upjohn Unemployment Trustee Corporation was founded in 1932 to administer a fund set aside by Dr. W.E. Upjohn (1852-1932) for the purpose of conducting research into the causes and effects of unemployment and measures for the alleviation of unemployment.

United States Post Office
The United States Postal Service (USPS) is an independent part of the US Government that has been servicing the United States for over two centuries. USPS delivers to more than 141 million homes and businesses. According to the USPS they handle an astonishing 202,821,900,000 pieces of mail annually.

Groupe ESC PAU
Groupe ESC Pau is a graduate business school located in Pau, France whose mission is to teach graduate students various different business disciplines such as finance, management, and marketing. EOS.Web Enterprise serves their 500 users a day, whom consist of graduate students and professors who need to have rapid access to all materials in the library, helping to support a strategic objective, improved research.

Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E)
The Energy Resource Center (ERC) provides information on energy efficient, green and sustainable design, and renewable resources to both Pacific Energy Center and PG&E staff as well as building design professionals and the public. These professionals are looking for information to help them design and operate buildings more efficiently. The resource center collections include books, journals, conference proceedings, videos and key electronic document records catalogued and made available on their customized EOS.Web OPAC.

Honeywell International is a $26 billion diversified technology and manufacturing leader, with 109,000 employees in over 100 countries. Honeywell, a Fortune 75 Company, serves customers worldwide with aerospace products and services; control technologies for buildings, homes and industry; automotive products; turbochargers; power generation systems; specialty chemicals; fibers; plastics and advanced specialty materials.

The Charleston School of Law
The Charleston School of Law (CSOL) offers students the unique opportunity to study the time-honored practice of law amid the beauty and grace of one of the South's oldest and most prestigious cities, Charleston, South Carolina. A year ago CSOL had no building, no faculty and no students. Today, the law school is housed in a 19th-century train depot that has been upgraded to offer 21st-century amenities - including wireless Internet, a coffee bar, classrooms, and a two-story library with arched ceilings.

St. Mary’s Medical Center
St. Mary’s Medical Center (SMMC), located in Evansville, Indiana, is part of the Ascension Health system. Ascension Health is the nation's largest Catholic and non-profit health system, with over 100,000 associates covering 20 states and the District of Columbia. They serve patients through a network of hospitals and related health facilities by providing acute care services, long-term care, community health services, psychiatric, rehabilitation and residential care. St. Mary's primary service area consists of over 250,000 people in three counties of Indiana: Vanderburgh, Warrick, and Posey.

National Sexual Violence Resource Center
The National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) opened in July 2000 as a national information and resource hub relating to all aspects of sexual violence. A project of the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape (PCAR), the oldest and one of the largest state sexual assault coalitions, NSVRC is funded through a grant from the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention's Division of Violence Prevention.

Clarian Health Partners
Clarian Health Partners library serves the medical staff and patients of the Clarian Health Statewide Hospital Network. Being a full-service library their resources include over 2,200 electronic titles, 500 shelved serial titles and 2,000 book titles.

Loomis Chaffee School
The Loomis Chaffee School is a private college prepatory high-school in Windsor, Connecticut. The school has a mix of boarding students and day students. The student population is very diverse and has students coming from 30 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and 15 foreign countries. The Loomis Chaffee School opened it’s doors in 1914 to 39 boys and five girls. The school now has 720 students.

The David Library of the American Revolution
The David Library of the American Revolution, located in Washington Crossing, PA, is a unique national institution. As its name implies, the David Library exists to collect, preserve, and make available every kind of material related to the American Revolution.

Solving Interdepartmental Firewall Access Issues
The PFRD library was organized as an internal technical library in 1975 from several individual county departments, which handle flood control, transportation, geomatics, environmental issues, harbors, beaches, parks and planning. The PFRD library has one primary location and one additional non-circulating historical collection.
